TEXAS HOLD’M TOURNAMENT
Fundraiser benefiting POPRA
September 18th from 7 - 11pm.
Come join us for a fun evening of cards and with your best poker face as you test your skills with fellow racers and friends. The evening will start with Registration around 6:30pm, we will kick things off at 7pm, Paradise Point Spa and Resort.
The cost per seat will be $50, you will be given 500 chips to start.
We will have a second optional buy in at 8:30pm for $25, for 250 chips. We will be playing for chips, top three chip leaders at 10:30pm will be awarded prizes.
- 1st Place - Boat, RV or Truck washing by team AVR in their Daisy Dukes!
- 2nd Place - 1 hr massage by Rob “RODDD” Hunguss!
- 3rd Place - Free “Cup Check” from Rawin courtesy Team Pig Iron!
**Ok, just kidding, all of the above will be made available for the right price**
We will also be having a raffle for various prizes, we have already collected some great items that everyone will have a use for! The raffle tickets will be sold at the door and prizes will be awarded through out the evening.
We will be playing by Texas Hold’m rules
- Large and Small blinds will be identified, adjusted accordingly.
- Dealer marker will be identified, large blind to the left of dealer marker, small blind to the left of large blind.
- Table will be dealt two cards and balance of five community cards will be dealt, betting will occur upon card turn of each community card.
- Winner shall be awarded based on standard poker hands, there are no wild cards, no jokers.
- Should a tie occur, pot is split equally.
- Players may go all in at anytime
- There will be a running clock that will signal when the anti will go up.
- There will be a 20 minute recess at approximately 8:50 - 9:10 pm. At this point we will do the raffle and the auction as well as offer a second buy in.
Per Seat Buy In
Per Seat Cost - $50 = 500 chip count
Mid Point Buy In - $25 = 250 chip count
Prize Purse
1st Place - $500.00
2nd Place - $250.00
3rd Place - $100.00
First Four of Kind - will be awarded a $100 prize.
First Royal Flush - will be awarded a $100 prize.
First Looser - will be awarded an “ass healing” - 4 pack Toilet Paper & Preparation H, (must be applied by self)!
Raffle Tickets
- Each Registered participant will receive 5 raffle tickets.
- Additional tickets may be purchased for $20 (5).
- There will be some items that will be auctioned off. There will be a licensed / registered Auctioneer from the State of Iowa on hand to do the auctioning.
- Some of the items that will be auctioned off will be kept secret until the night of the event. The reason being some of the participants may be directly involved or affected by the item. Curious? We are too.
- Please keep in mind, all of the money that is collect will be donated to Pacific Offshore Powerboat Racing Association
