Marketing opportunities with Pig Iron

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

Hello All,

Pig Iron racing is chasing after our fourth season as High Points Leader in Pacific Offshore. And specifically we are after our second checkered flag finish in the Lake Havasu Grand Prix. We still have sponsorship opportunities open for the 2010 season, for our team specifically as well as Pacific Offshore series sponsorships.

Pig Iron racing will be traveling 650 miles each way to Havasu on freeways through California, Nevada, and Arizona for this race. We will be on the water for the Make a Wish event. We have opportunity to put the boat in the Street Party with tens of thousands of fans walking by. The Saturday Shootout and the Sunday Grand Prix will be live on air broadcast along with live streaming for the internet anywhere in the world, besides the 3,000 boats in the spectator fleet.

As the President of Pacific Offshore, I will have the ability to put your banners, vendor booths, and representatives in the best positions to get your company exposed to thousands of fans. VIP packages are available with “On Course” viewing from the Dixie Bell paddle wheeler. The boat will be in the middle of the 5 mile course.  You will have a great view of the entire course and all the boats battling for the lead. There will be appetizers and a full bar for your enjoyment.

We have many different sponsorship packages that can be tailored to fit your needs and budget. There are spots as low as $200 that include artwork placement on the boat and banners placed around the Race Village. If your budget has no room for a cash sponsorship, we will discuss a product sponsorship. Please give us a call to discuss a package for your company.

Local Radio Station KTKE 101.5 FM goes for a ride

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Wow!!!    What a great weekend right here at home in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

We started early on Friday morning with JD Hoss and his crew for a live broadcast on local independent radio station KTKE FM out of Truckee, California. We also did a live streaming video at they’re web site, you can still check it out at http://www.truckeetahoeradio.com/ , it was a blast!

As the weekend went on we participated in the annual Tahoe Poker Run with Tim Rochford in his Fountain running Pig Iron 1075s. We blew a blower belt in the first leg of the event, Brad Johnson had it fixed while the rest of the boats went to lunch at Garwood’s on the lake in Carnelian Bay. As everyone else was finishing lunch Tim, Kristen, Jeff, and Brad (Team Worthy Risk) were buttoning up the repair and heading for the rendezvous point in front of Garwood’s.

We then headed for the west shore; the next point on the run was Obexer’s Marina. We had our best run on this leg; the Worthy Risk Fountain smoked the Outer Limits that was the “boat to beat”. We hit speeds in excess of 110 MPH in the drag race across the lake. Everyone went home with big smiles on their faces.

Once you go cat you never go back…..just kidding

Pig Iron Racing runs into Andrea Lowell at SEMA in Las Vegas

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Interview at SEMA 2008Mike Hesse, Rawin Lekhakul, and Brad Johnson traveled to flashy Las Vegas, Nevada on November 5th and 6th. The team members were looking for new toys, I mean tools. This year the show was as spectacular as ever. It is almost necessary to visit the show often to stay on top of the high performance industry.

The guys ran into Andrea while checking out the best spark plugs for the race boat. NGK is the only plug Pig Iron Racing runs at the races. Andrea was hanging out at the Art of Fast booth.
